Muraho!

Umwaka musya muhire!

あけましておめでとうございます。ここルワンダにおいても7時間の時差を超え2020年となり、只今1月2日です。

Happy new year. Here also  in Rwanda, it is now 2020, turning into new year 7 hours later than Japan. Today, I am writing this blog on 2nd January.

2019年下半期編はどないしたねん、と思われる方もいらっしゃるとは思います。

書いてました。完成してました。が、ネットワークエラーにより消えてしまうという悲劇が起きやる気を失いました。(笑)

Probably some of the readers think that why don't you write a blog about throw back from July to December of 2019. I DID. I FINISHED. 

However, that blog was deleted because of the network error. I lost passion to write about that again. lol　COMPLETELY

2020年の新たな試みとして、余裕のある時には英語も併記しながらブログを書いていこうと思います。「英語で書いたらええやん！」というアドバイスを頂いたので。

For the new challenge of this new year, I am going to write blogs both in Japanese and English.(as much as possible) Many of my friends recommended me to write in several languages so that more and more people can read my blog and know about Rwanda.

信じられますか？2020年ですよ。オリンピックイヤーですよ。

1999年生まれのハタチにとっては2010年代が終わったことに恐怖を感じています。

確か私が中学2年生か中学3年生だったころ、オリンピックの招致が決まりました。

早起きだった私はリアルタイムで招致決定の瞬間をテレビ越しに見ていました。

Can you belive that? It is 2020 now! Also it is olympic year.

I am missing 2010s as I was born in 1999. I remember when Tokyo was selected as the place for 2020 Olympics. That was around 7 years ago, when I was a 3rd grader student  in junior high school. 

そしてそんな2020年に私は日本から遠く離れた国、ルワンダに居ます。

Such a memorable year, in 2020, I am studying here in Rwanda, 11,770km away from Japan.

除夜の鐘を聞かない。紅白を見ない。おせちを食べない。初詣に行かない。寒くない。

わくわくしながらポストをあけて年賀状を確認することもない。

こんなお正月は初めてで、いまだに年が明けた実感がありません。2019年13月2日のよう。

It was very first time for me to spend New Year's Day outside Japan. It was very first time for me to spend New Year's Day, not listening to night bell at the temple, not watching new year eve's music show, not eating new year's traditional dish, not going to pray in temple and shrine, not cold and not opening the mailbox to see new year's cards are comig from my friends... I cannot belive it is now 2020. For me, it is like on 33rd of December 2019 today.

少し日本と友達と家族が恋しくなったのは事実です。私の父はビデオ電話で食べている水炊きを見せつけてきました。しばいていいでしょうか。(笑)

とはいうものの！お正月はいつもお世話になっている佐々木先生ご夫妻のお家でお正月パーティーに参加させて頂きました。帰省せずに残っているアフリカのほかの国から来ているクラスメイトをはじめたくさんの人と美味しいものを食べながら新年を祝いました。

Yeah, it is true that I missed Japan, my friends and my family... My father, when we did video chat, he showed me off Japanese hot pot dish....huuu

BUT!!! New year's day here in Rwanda was really amazing and enjoyable. I was invited to new year's party at the house of Dr.Kazuyuki Sasaki and Mrs.Megumi Sasaki. A lot of people, including students at PIASS were there. We celebrated new year, having delicious fantastic awesome dish.

1日の晩は疲れ果ててすぐ眠ってしまい。今年をどんな年にしたい？なんて何も考えられなかったので今考えました。

I was too tired yesterday, soon I jumped into the bed and fell asleep... I actually did not make new year's resolution. On 2nd day of this new year, I made resolutions.

2020年のほとんどをここルワンダで過ごします。8月末に帰国した後は復学し、またまたあの忙しすぎる日々に戻る、と思っています。就活についても考えないといけない。

だから。「自分自身をよく知ること」「学び続けること」「伝えること」を大切な3本の柱にして1年を過ごそうと思っています。

This year, I will spend most of the time in Rwanda. And after returning back to Japan, in August, I will be back in my original university and also be back to the hectice life. I have to think about the job hunting too.

SO. "To know myself." "To continue learning" "To tell what I think and what I see(espeacially in Rwanda!)", these 3things are keys to live which I came up with for 2020.

嬉しいことに、私は日本でもルワンダでも、どこでも素敵な人たちに囲まれて生きています。「類は友を呼ぶ」って私は本当だと思っていて。だからこそ、私も人にやさしく自分にもやさしく、そして中身も外見も美しい人間になりたいなと思いました。

「睦美」という名前に恥じぬよう睦まじく美しい人間になりたい、そんな2020年です。

In Japan and Rwanda, I am surrounded by many nice people. Well, I personally believe the famous saying, "Similar people gather together" is true. So, I want to be nice to the other and of course, to myself, and to be beautiful inside and outside.

I WANT TO BE real MUTSUMI, harmonious beautiful person, (MUTSU = hamony MI=beauty) in this year.

あんまりルワンダには関係のない記事になりましたがとりあえず現代版書初めです。(笑)2020年という年が皆様にとっても素敵な年になりますように。平和に2020年を過ごせますように。

I hope this year will be a wonderful year. I hope this year will be a peaceful year.
